Psychology underpins everyday tasks and provides an insight into the behaviours of others. This makes it a widely accepted qualification in many vocations.
Year 1: Research methods, Approaches, Biopsychology, Memory, Attachment, Social influence: psychopathology
Year 2: Research methods, Issues, debates and approaches, Biopsychology, Relationships, Aggression, Eating behaviour.
Assessment:
Psychology is usually taken over 2 years leading to a A’level in psychology, however you can chose to stop psychology at the end of year 1 with an As qualification. Psychology is an exam only course. Exams are at the end of the year.
In year 1 you will sit 2 exams of 1.5 hours each.
In year 2 you will sit 3 exams of 2 hours each.
Accepted for at a large range of institutions and for a large range of courses. Students who take this course can then go onto University or employment.
