Why Study?

Choosing Photography at A Level will introduce you to a variety of experiences, you will explore a range of photographic media, techniques and processes. You will research the work of other photographers and artists is an integral part of the investigating and making process. You'll produce a sketchbook, documenting your research and recording the development of your own work. When you complete the course you'll be able to express ideas and link your intentions to outcomes in a confident and assured manner. This qualification will encourage you to explore and develop specialist photography skills in a creative and innovative setting.

Progression Routes

This course will make you a great creative thinker and you will be able to construct your photographic images so that they contain high visual appeal and visual communication. In this way you will be able to carve out your desired career in photography. A lot of our students go on to study at university and then into careers in the design industry. This course can lead to career opportunities in the following areas: photographer, gallery curatorial work, arts management, teaching/lecturing, animator, and photojournalist.
